Summer Memories

Now that a new school year has started, this is a good time to look back and reflect on our summer vacations (however short they may have been). This summer, I had a chance to go to Washington DC on a trip with other teachers. I also went with my mom and husband to Minnesota to visit family there.
While I was in Minnesota, my favorite memory was going on a quilt shop hop. This is where you go around from one quilt store to another and see what they have, get free gifts, and a chance to go shopping. Minnesota makes their own fabric, and I now have a collection of Minnesota fabric that I plan to make something out of (although I’m not sure what yet.
What did you do this summer? What is your favorite summer memory from this year? – If you are one of my current students, I expect your response to be at least one paragraph in length!

I think that’s very interesting! What I did this summer was when my cousins and I went to California to visit our aunt and uncle. We went to the beach and went surfing or swimming. The ocean was very salty, so I had a lot of salt in my hair. It was my favorite summer memory from this year.

Did you enjoy swimming in the ocean? I love boogie boarding in the ocean, but I shouldn’t really go in because I get a rash from the water. Crazy, huh?

That sounds like it was a lot of fun, I’v always wanted to go to Washington DC and Minnisota. Did you have fun? I didn’t do much over the two weeks of summer we had. I pretty much just stayed home all summer. I spent the night at my friends housse. My friend spent the night at my house, So thats pretty much all i did over the summer.

What I did for summer was going to California,
and the things that I did in California is going to Knott’s Berry Farm and Soak City. I thought Soak City was better. My favorite part of Soak City was riding The Flush.
I thought that summer break was fun!

This summer I did lots of stuff. One thing is my favorite hobby,swimming.I also spent the night at some of my friend’s houses.I’ve been playing with friends then at home. One of the best things is new glasses.

On the last day of summer vacation I went to a water park.It was awesome. I was about to take my clone trooper mask and my NERF gun but my mom toke away from me.

Well i went to anchorage alaska . To see my family and for my uncles wedding . It was very fun because we got to ride in the hummer limo.But what was most fun was the cake . I wish i could go back to see them .Maybe i could go back this summer

On my summer,I had to stay in Las Vegas.But I saw my cousins and had to sleep at my cousin’s house.All though, the memory I keep remembering was all the music we played on the guitar hero every day.It was long,but kind of fun…

How was Minnosota?Did you get to see your family members?It sounds like a lot of fun.What I did for my summer vacation was going to Lake Tahoe.It was my cousins B-day and my 18 month cousins baptism.We also whent to the Lake to play soccer.I was in the play ground playing with my cousin and she feel and broke her hand.

Minnesota was awesome. We spent a few days in Hibbing with my grandmother and several days in Minneapolis with the rest of my family. I spent two whole days at the Mall of America shopping for clothes too! While I like getting new things, I don’t like the process of shopping, but I enjoyed the time with family anyways!!!

This summer what I did was I went to Parogona, Utah, Morro Bay, California, and Fresno, California. My favorite summer memory was when I was in Utah, my cousins and I made a bunch of funny videos so we could show it to our families. I had a great suummer this year.

On the summer I went to California.It was my first time.I had a lot of fun.It was like the best summer ever.I hope I could go back sometime in the weekend for at least two days.Thats where I went on the summer.

Last summer vacation I went to california and went to all my cousin’s house. We went shoping and went at museum. It was awsome because we had lots of ice cream.Then my cousin had a pool party.I had a realy good time.

Last summer I went to calaforina and went to Sea World with my hole family.It was kind of hot when we just got there.I had to go to sesame street playground for my sister it was kind of fun only when I climbed the net.My favrite part was the roller coaster one.

This summer I went to Pepin, Wisconsin to visit family and have some fun.My favorite memories are when I flipped of my ATV and fell into a creek and crawled out with only a scraped elbow. Thank goodness for helmets! I also hiked down a large creek with my cousins.

This summer I went to my dad’s new apartment.I didn’t do a lot else. I basically just watched tv, played outside with my friends. and went out with my family. I don’t really have a favorite memory but I just liked having a break from school.

wow that soundslike a lot of fun. this summer iwent to sea wrold and it was super fun becuse i went on all the rides and got to see a lot of stuff. so thats what i did this summer and thats why i like it.

I wish that I some where as cool as you people, but I didn’t. I stayed at home with my cousins. That’s pretty boring. Especaly when they won’t even let me touch the Wii.

Hey Mrs. K, it’s been a long time since the last time I saw you!! I remember when I celebrated my birthday Cole and Brendhen came 3 hours early before the party even started. We were dieing of boredom. I finally got my first cellphone 2 days later. I stayed in Las Vegas for the entire summer vacation.

this summer I went to Los Angles, California to visit my family. We went to Disneyland and to the zoo. After that we went to the Mall to buy new clothes and shoes. When we got home, we rented a jumper. When the jumper came we helped our uncles to fill the Jumper with air. After that we ran inside and jumped all around. The next day we left to Las Vegas. I hope I go next year.
