What’s Your Learning Style?

Did you know that certain people can learn better in different ways? Some people learn best by hearing. They are called auditory learners. Some people learn best by seeing. These people are called visual learners. Others learn best by touching or doing. They are called kinesthetic learners. In all reality, most people are a blend of the three, but we usually have one type that is dominant over the others. I am mostly a visual learner.
Take this quiz to find out what type of learner you are. What type of learner are you? Do you feel that the results and explanation of your quiz sound like you? Did you learn anything about how to help yourself learn better from reading about your results?

I learned from the books of Antoine de la Garanderie that Auditory learners aren’t necessarily bound to be music experts – I’m not, I can’t remember music that I’ve heard, I just can remember words that I’ve heard. Different zones in the brain are responsible for both listening to music and to words.
I’m also always trying to see what I hear, so I love mind maps, I can’t see them in my mind, I have to draw them first.
I read your comment to Sue Water’s article, so I came to visit you; I hope to be participating soon in the Students Blogging Competition launched by S. Wyatt, with my young students from Portugal. I would like to take them here to visit your students.

i am about a 50% visual learner. yes i believe it sounds like me. yes i think i learned a little bit from reading.

I took the test and ended up with these results.
auditory: 45%
visual: 40%
tactile: 15
So I am mostly an auditory learner.

After I took the test, it gave me a LONG list of examples on how to learn better. But I was quite amazed with my results:
Auditory – 40%
Visual – 35%
Tactile – 25%
* I always thought I was a visual learner!

After I took the test, they gave me a list of ways i could be a better visual learner.Anyway here are my results : Auditory -35 Visual-45 Tactile-20.I never new i was a visual learner!

i was feeling good that i got a bad grade but i didnt.

I am mostly a visual learner. I think that is half right but I also think that I am a “doing” learner, for example in science I have to do it to understand it. I also think that some of the questions on the quiz did not have my personal answers so some of them were not answered completly as me.

My highest percentage is visual. It is exactly 40%, after I took the test. The other ones are lower tha my visual. My auditory is 30%, and my tactile is 25% on the test that I took. So I am avisual learner.

AfterI took the test I saw a long list of examples! The list made sense though because i’m an auditory:) I’m 65% auditory, 10% visual, and 25% tactile! Not bad:)
